Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026 · Applies to the Voxir iOS app and voxir.app.

The short version

Your voice recording is analysed on your iPhone and is not uploaded. About your voice we store only numeric measurements — pitch, pitch variation, voice steadiness measures (including jitter and shimmer), harmonics-to-noise ratio, loudness, speaking rate, pauses — plus, if you allow it, a text transcript of what you read. This is a communication-skills tool, not a medical or psychological assessment. You must be 13 or older.

What we collect, and why

Retention

Measurements are kept while your account is active so you can see progress; transcripts are deleted within 30 days; everything is deleted immediately when you delete your account or withdraw consent, and our backups are kept no longer than 30 days. We never sell, lease or trade your voice data, never use it for advertising, do not create voiceprints and cannot identify you by your voice. Nothing is held longer than one year after the purpose it was collected for ends.

Who processes data for us

RevenueCat (subscriptions), Hetzner (hosting), Anthropic PBC and — only if Anthropic is unavailable — Google LLC (optional AI coaching over measurements and transcript, never audio), and Sentry (crash reporting). Each processes your information only to provide its service to us and must protect it at least as strongly as this policy does. None of them may use your data for their own purposes, and the AI vendors do not train on your data.

Your choices and rights

Washington residents (My Health My Data Act)

For Washington residents, your voice measurements, your chosen training goal and your progress history may be consumer health data under Washington law. You have the right to access that data, withdraw consent, and have it deleted; the sections above describe exactly how, in-app and by email. We do not sell consumer health data and never share it for advertising. If you believe we have not honoured a request, reply to our answer and we will treat it as an appeal; you may also contact the Washington Attorney General.

Children

Voxir is not for children under 13 and blocks account creation below that age. Users aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian's permission, which the app collects before the first scan.
